Tohoku Festivals, a power source

All this talk about festivals I guess is normal for this time of year, but the three main Tohoku festivals should not be missed. Of course I'm referring to Nebuta, Kanto and Tanabata. I have actually never been to any of these, but my relatives go every year and they come back with a new power.You would think that such a hard festival schedule would be tiring, but they seem to gain more energy with each fesival they attend.

We should both try to make it to the Tohoku festivals someday.
It's been on my "must see" list for a long time
In the meantime however I have been checking out some other types of festivals that are actually sparking my interest.
Take the boat races for example last Saturday at the Kushiro summer festival. I became an instant fan. As the expression goes "Different strokes for different folks"
