Abekawa fireworks display

I wasn't there to take in all the great atmosphere of this wonderful yearly event, but I could see some of the fireworks from the restaurant where I was having my dinner. What a spectacular sight.I was totally hypnotized Hypnotized
It would be fun to hear from somebody who was actually there.
I do hope that some of my students took a little time off from their studies to attend the fireworks display and embrace a real Shizuoka summer tradition. Big Hug

It was good for you to see the fireworks.
I didn't see them...because I haven't promised with friends.
I only heard the sound of them in my house.
I wish I had a boyfriend!!

Summer events

Hi Hiroko

That's too bad you couldn't make it this year to the Abekawa fireworks display.
I heard that there are some other good fireworks displays around Shizuoka prefecture.I'm pretty sure there are some nice ones in Fukuroi and in Shimizu. Hopefully you could find one that fits your schedule.
If not, there are heaps of good summer festivals and concerts this summer. Let's keep each other informed if we find an event worth recommending. Wink .
